embrace their body: capstone

The struggle between women and their bodies is something that has always existed. There is constant change of what this looks like and the feeling of women not being enough is always present as many try to keep up with current trends.

Embrace Their Body is a campaign meant to discuss ways in which parents can create a dialogue with their children on healthy bodies. The female brain isn’t fully developed until around the age of 25, the things that are posted and said up until that point can create a lasting impact. Especially when it comes to the ways in which parents discuss nutrition and weight with their young girls. It is important that parents understand what a healthy body looks like and how to communicate with their daughters about the internet and its impact on their relation to their body.

Together, twenty-five students explore different problems that were solved with the aid of thorough research and design principles. The students had fourteen weeks to create their process to deliver visual outcomes that are uniquely tailored to each capstone.

For our class I helped by creating and developing the brand as a co director, this included brand logo, color pallets, developing brand rules and creating posters. Photographed below are images from the creation from the event where students worked together to display work, paint walls, and develop the overall image.
